La neonata sede Bresciana della Scuola Internazionale di Comics è stata inaugurata nel 2009, per dare risposta alla crescente richiesta di formazione per tutto quello che riguarda le Arti Visive e la Creatività in una regione vasta e pulsante come la Lombardia.
All’interno della sua prestigiosa sede, situata in pieno centro storico e vicinissima alla Stazione FS, le lezioni vengono tenute in aule ampie e luminose, dotate di attrezzature moderne e tecnologia all’avanguardia.
Tutti gli insegnanti hanno una fondata esperienza nei campi di fumetto, illustrazione, grafica, web, animazione, e i programmi si basano non solo sulla loro professionalità, ma sul confronto costante dei diversi metodi di lavoro e sulla condivisione di idee e progetti. La direzione artistica è affidata a Riccardo Borsoni già collaboratore per le case editrici Star comics, Mondadori le Monnier e Ideabooks e precedentemente docente presso l’Accademia LABA di Brescia e la sede della Scuola Internazionale di Comics di Jesi.
Una particolare attenzione è rivolta alla preparazione professionale degli allievi, senza mai trascurare le singole inclinazioni artistiche, che vengono incentivate e valorizzate al meglio. L’ingresso nel mondo del lavoro viene così agevolato da un’offerta formativa adeguata ai diversi mercati di riferimento, in cui operano tutti i docenti, grazie all’esperienza messa a disposizione degli studenti e a un know-how tecnico sempre aggiornato e in continua evoluzione.
Per gli studenti migliori sono previste borse di studio e viaggi all’estero come, per esempio, la borsa di studio Cuba: viaggio aereo, soggiorno e stage gratuito di quattordici giorni a l’Avana presso l’ICAIC (istituto statale di cinematografia e animazione cubano) o la borsa di Studio Japan: viaggio aereo, soggiorno e stage gratuito di quattordici giorni presso il Tokyo Animator College.

ENGLISH VERSION
The International School of Comics of Brescia is the most recently inaugurated, of all of the schools throughout Italy. We are excited and delighted to finally be able to respond to the growing demand for educational facilities in the Creative arena in Lombardy, one of Italy’s stellar regions; known for its pulsing energy and passion for unique initiatives. The school’s prestigious location is situated in the historic center of the city, is conveniently located near the main train station. Classes are held in large, brightly lit classrooms with all the most modern equipment and state-of-the-art technology.
The Artistic Director of the school is Riccardo Borsoni, whose has already collaborated with Star Comics, Mondadori, le Monnier, and Ideabooks. He has taught at the Academy LABA in Brescia and also at International School of Comics in Jesi. and is working on several projects for the French market. Riccardo is joined by a staff of teachers coming from various sectors: Comic Books, Illustration, Graphic Arts, Animation, each with a successful professional background. Students will be encouraged by their teachers to paricipate in stimulating progects as well as invaluable exchanges with other students.
A particular focus of the school is to prepare students for a professional career, but never at the cost of suppressing individual style and artistic inclination. Students’ artistic identies are encouraged and valued at all times. Precisely because our instructors come from solid working experiences and share invaluable technical know-how about the realities of the workplace, students are more easily prepared for the many demands of a diverse and ever-changing marketplace.
Scholarships for a brief period of study abroad are offered to our best students upon completion of their second and/or third year. Travel and Lodging and a 14 day internship at the following:
Cuba: Havana, Cuban State Institue of Cinema and Animation (ICAIC)
Japan: Tokyo Animator College
