La sede reggiana della Scuola Internazionale di Comics viene inaugurata nell’ottobre del 2008, dando risposta alla crescente richiesta di formazione per tutto quello che riguarda le Arti Visive e la Creatività.
All’interno della sua prestigiosa sede, situata in pieno centro storico e vicinissima alla Stazione FS, le lezioni vengono tenute in aule ampie e luminose, dotate di attrezzature moderne e tecnologia all’avanguardia.
Reggio Emilia, Città del Tricolore, da sempre nasconde un’anima artistica vivace e attiva. L’arte in ogni sua forma ha sempre trovato illustri portabandiera che, dalla musica al cinema, passando per letteratura e pittura, hanno dato lustro all’intera provincia e creato opere di rilievo nazionale e non solo. E a Reggio Emilia, anche il fumetto e le arti grafiche non fanno eccezione. Da anni, un intraprendente gruppo di artisti si muove con disinvoltura sui diversi scenari internazionali, creando un ambiente unico per intensità e dinamismo.
Sotto la direzione artistica di Giuseppe Camuncoli, Matteo Casali e Grazia Lobaccaro, del corpo docente della Scuola Internazionale di Comics di Reggio Emilia fanno parte solo professionisti affermati e riconosciuti internazionalmente, capaci di garantire una qualità di insegnamento e una formazione teorica e pratica di altissimo livello.
Una particolare attenzione è rivolta alla preparazione professionale degli allievi, senza mai trascurare le singole inclinazioni artistiche, che vengono incentivate e valorizzate al meglio. The International School of Comics in Reggio Emilia, opened in 2008, in response to an ever-growing demand for training in the Visual Arts. The school’s prestigious location is situated in the historic center of the city, is conveniently located near the main train station. Classes are held in large, brightly lit classrooms with all the most modern equipment and state-of-the-art technology.
Reggio Emilia is a special region of Italy that has always possessed a strong artistic soul, extremely active and full of life: from music to cinema, literature to painting, these diverse art forms have found fertile territory throughout the region and have given rise to unique initiatives known throughout Italy and abroad. Comics and the Graphic Arts are no exception. For years, an independent, ambitious group of artists here have attracted attention nationally and internationally, and have continued to create a uniquely stimulating and dynamic environment.
Under the art direction of Giuseppe Camuncoli, Matteo Casali, and Grazia Lobaccaro the teaching staff is entirely made up of successful professionals who have consolidated experience nationally and internationally. This high level of success among the teachers guarantees that students receive not only the best theoretical instruction, but insights into practical application as well.
